| ‘메디치 효과(Medici Effect)’란 다양한 분야와 영역이 마주치는 교차점에서 혁신적 아이디어가 폭발적으로 증가하는 현상을 일컫는 경영학 용어입니다. BT, IT, 의학의 만남으로 탄생한 바이오정보의학(Translational Bioinformatics)은 개인화된 맞춤의학 시대를 실현하는 융합기술입니다. 이탈리아 피렌체는 역사상 가장 혁신적인 창조의 중심지가 되었고, 놀랍게도 그 결과는 르네상스의 개막과 서구세력의 약진이었습니다. 아직 아시아 지역의 바이오정보의학 연구는 걸음마 단계입니다. 아시아태평양 바이오정보의학 국제학술대회 창립을 위한 준비를 서두르며, 서울의대 정보의학실, 시스템바이오정보의학연구센터 및 대한의료정보학회와 한국생물정보학회 공동으로 아태지역 저명학자를 모시고 국제심포지움을 개최하오니 많은 참여를 부탁드립니다. |
