Eosinophilic esophagitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the esphagous characterized by frequent vomiting, dysphagia or feeding problems and abdominal pain. Eosinophile infiltration of the epithelium is seen at biopsy. Eosinophilic esophagitis is a rare cause of dysphagia but the prevalence is unknown. |
